In researching stories I often come by amazing photos that I would like to know more about. This is going to be the start of a monthly feature I add to this blog where I post one of these photos and ask my readers for information they may have to help with giving the photo some life.
This photo was given to me by Marilyn Dolbear. It was taken at a fashion show in 1973. The model on the runway is Rheta McLean. Marylyn recognized Mavis Bryans in the audience, to the right of the model, dark hair and glasses. I would love more information for the photo, more names of folks in the audience, where the fashion show was held anything to add to the story of the photo.

Definitely Bessie and Ruth Haagsma, Mother and daughter to the lft of the model, both looking forward
To the right of the model , older lady with glasses was Mary Livingston. Never married , used to work uptown in Dr office I think. Taught Sunday School her whole life. The lady to the left of model with dark hair snd glasses looking straight ahead is Bessie Haagsma who is Ruth Richters mother. Her and her husband (Reachel. spelling?) lived in brown insul brick home on River sat next to where Mavis Bryan’s lived. Her Dtr now has newer place closer to toad on same lot
And I’m pretty sure the lady near Bessie Haagsma looking over a head in front of her was my grandmother Bessie Munro
The woman in the very back on the right, next to the striped blanket is Jenny Philips from Inwood, and the location looks like the gymnasium at Brooke Central School.
The International plowing match was held on Don and Ann McGugan farm in the fall of 1973. Was this event held in connection with that?
