Each year the Alvinston Legion hosts the Canada Day Car, Truck and Tractor Show and although I work during the show at the Alvinston Legion I look forward to get a look at the 4-wheeled beauties that show up.

This year the show was postponed as weather on July 2nd did not co-operate with the event until July 9th. Although rain once again threatened the show on the 9th a total of 43 vehicles made it out to what ended up being a great day.
Organizers had many great prizes donated from local businesses for the participants. They also ran a booth where visitors and participants could get a bite to eat running out of both the peameal on a bun and hamburgers.
The day was topped off with the Summer Sunday’s in the Park taking place in the Alvinston Community park from 1 pm to 4 pm with Bill Knapp taking to the stage first and followed by Ruff ‘Round Th’Edges.
